For student athletes
NCAA-approved courses in an American online high school
For students planning a college sports career in the USA or Canada who want to combine online study with training, competitions and travel.
Who are the NCAA courses for?
The American High School programme delivered by JDJ includes courses approved by the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). Choosing the right courses can help meet the academic requirements for future college athletes.
These courses suit you if:
- you plan to seek a team place and an athletic scholarship at a university in the USA or Canada,
- you train at a high level and need study that fits around competitions and travel,
- you want to plan your courses around NCAA requirements from the start.
An approved course is not a guarantee
A course being NCAA-approved does not decide an athlete's individual eligibility or a scholarship. The NCAA Eligibility Center decides, based on academic results and amateur status among other things.
How to plan your courses
NCAA-approved courses are available in the American High School programme and you take them online and flexibly, which makes it easier to fit study around training, competitions and travel.
Plan your course choices early with our admissions team and, if helpful, an educational mentor. Always check NCAA requirements in the official sources below.
