Student support
Educational mentor: optional support for online learning
American High School teachers teach the courses as part of the programme. A JDJ educational mentor is an additional, paid service for students and families who want regular help with study planning, motivation and university choices.
What teachers do, and what a mentor adds
A mentor does not replace teachers. They help the student organise learning and plan what comes next.
Included
American High School teachers
- teach the courses and grade assignments,
- answer questions through online consultations, email or chat.
Optional, paid
JDJ educational mentor
- motivates the student to work steadily through the programme,
- monitors progress and gives feedback,
- checks that assignments and assessments are complete and on time,
- liaises with teachers and the school when difficulties arise,
- helps plan the timetable and choose electives,
- supports university choices, applications and AP/SAT preparation.
How mentoring works
The mentor stays in regular contact, adapted to the student and family: helping with study-related stress, finding strengths and setting realistic, concrete goals.
The Premium option offers broader support, including more room for coaching, reflection and finding one's own path. Package prices are in the questions below.
